Andrew Greig was born in Bannockburn and studied Philosophy at Edinburgh University. He now lives in Orkney and Sheffield (Work that one out). He is currently making a reputation for himself as a significant Scottish novelist, with titles such as The Return of John MacNab (1996) and In Another Light (2004). His new novel, Romanno Bridge (2008), has been very well received. However, it is as a poet with several striking collections published since his debut in 1973 that he comes to read at Vital Synz. This Life, This Life, his Selected Poems appeared in 2006.
Andrew will be preceded as a reader by Gerry Bradshaw, one of the St Mungo's Mirrorball group of poets, who published Shake-Out Glamour, a joint collection with Julie MacPherson, in 2005.
